Dr David Rothery, Professor of Planetary Geosciences at The Open University, author and researcher for the European Space Agency’s BepiColombo mission to Mercury, invites you to a behind the scene look at the 2019 BBC TV series ‘The Planets’. David was one of two OU academic consultants for series. He will describe what it is that fascinates him personally about planets (and other objects in the Solar System), and delve into some aspects that didn’t make it into the TV series, or that came out slightly wrong.
